Nobody would happen to know how to procure a wooden electrical spool would they? I have a really great idea as to what to do with one; I really want to make a coffee table out of one with a mosaic pattern on the top and maybe some sculptural painting stuff around the middle and the base. Just need to find the spool though.

hmmm, we used to get ours off the side of the road. You might want to google "wooden electrical spool" and see what comes up.

I'm sure you could get one on eBay. Try searching for "Super urban chic, not Armani, Prada, Gucci, Yamaha, Honda, GSXR, Ferrarri, Porsche, Hummer!!!! L00k!!" And then you can have it shipped to you for only five thouseand dollars, which will inclue a very low packaging fee. :kngt:

If you happen on a work crew that has the spools, ask them if you can have one when it's empty. They don't always reuse them and are sometimes glad to leave one for you.

Why don't you try contacting a large electrical contractor in your area? Or maybe the utility company? Both of those would use enough wire that they'd have some of those spools, I'd bet.

Good idea.
A friend of mine got a huge one once, from a work crew. He had to roll it down his hill from side to side so it wouldn't take off towards parts unknown, lol. He used it as an outdoor table. It was like standing at a circular bar. Some of them are soooo big.
Peace,

Yeah, don't barbeque on top of one; they're probably treated wood and thus rather flammable. :bandit:

No, you are not a troll.
We can tell who the trolls are, they usually refer to us as a bunch of curry munching hippies.
