bee/hornets

we have a big bee and hornet proplem at my house and i do not want to use sprays or dusting. to get rid of them... is there any other way i can get rid of them with out spreading so meny cemicals around my house

You can make a trap out of an old two liter bottle....

Empty about a can's worth of cheap lemon-lime soda into it.

Empty some bits of leftover meat into it..can be anything...chicken, turkey, hamburger. It could even be cat food. It just has to be some type of meat...the bees and wasps seek out the protein.

Dice up an old apple and push them down the spout.

I should have said...do not cut the top off the bottle. Leave the bottle opening as it is.

So, you've got this lovely soup that the bees and wasps want. Leave this bottle open sitting where you have a big problem. They'll crawl into the bottle seeking the sugar or protein, whatever they're hungry for, and then they can't find their way back out.

You can call a professional to come out, find the nests and remove them. That's the most effective and safest way to deal with bees, and you really should be careful. Bees are nothing to mess around with, even if you're not allergic to them anyone can get seriously hurt. A lot of wasps and hornets are aggressive and considerably more dangerous than say yellowjackets, although they are nasty too.

thanks for the ideas, i would love to call someone about it. but i know it will mean a big big proplem they are in the out side wall of my house........ :(

when I was going to Missoula, Montana (go Grizz! GGGGUURRRRRRR)

we had the same prob on our dorm's porch. so we all decided to smoke the beez out! :bandit:

BAD IDEA! not only were we stoned off our arses but the beez got all mad for some reason, I mean it was good purple kush WTF. I can't tell you what to do without nasty chemicals but I can tell you bees DO NOT like to get stoned.

You might be surprised at how easily a pro could deal with it. You have to remember, these guys do it for a living, so they know all the slickest ways of getting those things out. They'll just come out in the middle of the night, deal with the problem, and the next day all your bees will be gone. Good deal if you ask me...
