Help this new hippie

[Zygan the new hippie]

Hello I am Joey but you can call me Zygan. I am a new hippie or at least I feel like I am turning into one. I dont seperate them from normal day people but I used to. I love nature and stuff like that. please let me get to know you. I dont do all things like a hippie. I eat meat. does that mean I am not a hippie or am I like part hippie? please help me out.

Right On Shadow! The soul is where the hippie lies so just do what you do and if somday you find your freinds calling you that hippie guy than thats what fate has choosen you to be. Don't worry to much about it being called a hippie isn't a bad thing. I'm proud that my freinds call there dirty little hippie chick.

hippie: unconventional young person of the 1960s :D : a young person, especially in the 1960s :D , who rejected accepted social and political values and proclaimed a belief in universal peace and love. Hippies often dressed unconventionally, lived communally, and used psychedelic drugs.

Could also be called bohemians, freethinkers, freespirits, and noncomformists.

I don't look like a hippie but I like to think I am a hippie at heart.

I'm a hippie at heart myself but I have a high paying job and I'm not a vegetarian.

To me being a hippie is being a CARING person. A free spirit.

Goat meat is tough.


I get called a hippy by my friends because I have long hair, wear second hand old lady skirts, do arts and crafts, and basically live in my own world. And I painted flowers on the outside of my trailers, because I was sick to death of white.

I eat meat. I hate soy.

But, soon I will be called the Crazy Chicken Lady. Same thing, lol.

I get called a hippy for all kinds of things.....buying organic foods, having homebirths, growing my hair long & dyeing it with henna before it was the "in" thing to do, sewing (actually, being able to do ANY needlearts seems to bring the hippy label in some areas!), recycling, cloth diapering, breastfeeding......I mean, I could do all of those things because everybody else does, and that would be considered mainstream. But because very few people *do* do those things, and find themselves threatened by the fact that there *is* someone willing to go against the grain, they feel that a label is appropriate. Hippy seems to be the convenient label. My grandpa chose another label that captures the spirit a bit better, though - he calls me a Pioneer.
