Anyone else here find themselves snowed in? I managed to get my car out yesterday, and headed off to work, came home and managed to maneuver my car into a spot, only to be plowed over this morning. Luckily, one of my neighbors had an extra shovel, so I dug my way back out. Tonight, I park in the street. Screw 'em if they don't like it. I don't like wasting three hours of my life digging my car out of a 5 foot pile of snow. The snow we got around here is being compared to the "Blizzard of '78". I remember that one. I was three at the time. Anyway, we got around 18 inches, where my sis lives, they got 24 inches. What about everyone else?

Lucky bastards. Last year we had a 'winter blast' in which we recieved all of two inches of snow, hanging around for about three days. Winter here blows goats! I need to move someplace that actually has seasons, not just twelve months of varied slop.

I have to admit to LOVING being snowed in. If we have a big snow coming I just stock up on lots of comfort foods, yummy teas, and of course WEED!

I love having the excuse to just slow down, appreciate life...and solitude!

Nothing, IMHO, beats smoking a bowl wrapped up in a nice warm blankie watching the snow come down and listening to some cool ethereal music..... :D

We have a lot of snow still. I love it! Our center was closed yesterday b/c of it, and we are off today too. Now I can make some bread, cookies, wrap presents, and clean the house. My boyfriend and I are going sledding later on today, and then drink some hot toddies :D I love it when it is snowy like this!

Ha. I've had ~1 foot of snow since thanksgiving at my current dwelling... Visiting family now with no snow... I am quite a bit afraid of how much snow will be waiting for me :/

we had 3-6 inches in the Denver area (no idea on champagne powder land)by Wednesday dec 22, but it's confined to yards today as we had two days in the 40s.
not bad considering the high Tuesday was 9.

It hasn't snowed in days here, but it's so cold (high of around 10F for the past two weeks) that the snow is just sticking :/

We don't get it much but we had a mess of it a few weeks ago. It rained, then sleeted on top of that, then turned to snow. About 5 inches.

No one believed the weather reports, because they're usually so wrong about snow. lol.

Everyone out here was stuck. Couldn't get to any of the highways because of steep hills.

In the towns there was tons of wrecks :(

What was really cool was that I found so many animal tracks outside. Before that I knew we had a lot of wildlife but the tracks showed that there was much much more than I knew about. Sneaky animals, lol. Rabbits, squirrels, and deer within two feet of the outside walls! And lots of them! I added my gigantic rubber boot tracks to the woods. It was a trip :):)

Peace,
Pedata

We had record amounts of snow falling like crazy over the past two weeks then three days ago we have had nothing but non stop rain melting all of our pretty snow away. There is a sweet rumor on my mountain that tommarow it will dump again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and board waxed..

I've noticed a lot of wetter than normal weather recently... Maybe it's due to winter or el nino or whatever we're used to... however, I can't help but think that the tsunamis, while "merely" 10 meters high, might not have affected weather patterns across the world..? Maybe it's just all three.

For those hopin' for snow, here's hopin' with you... :p
