My daughter just received the "Free to be... You and Me" book and cd for her birthday. They are such valuable gifts to me. There are songs with lyrics like, "And I don't care if I'm pretty at all. And I don't care if you ever grow tall. I like what I look like and you're nice and small. You don't have to change at all." These songs are packed with positive messages about self image and equality. For anyone who will be purchasing a gift for a child in the future, these are top notch! Also, the songs are catchy and my daughter loves them.

I agree completly my mom got Kris the free to be you and me book and dvd Marlo Thomas right? he loves it, so do I it is nice to see things like that for kids, start it young and hopefully all that other bull wont be stuck in there brains, they can be free to be just as they are!!
She has some other books to that Ive been meaning to check out.

WOW that sounds awesome.... my friend's sister is expecting and that would be great.... also my nieces would love them (so would their parents). I'm so happy there's something out there like that!
