I am a VERY (8 kids) experienced father, and the best advice I can give you is this: Love your baby more than anything, make sure that he/she feels your love. Hug, kiss, hold, tickle, smile ALL the time. When your child becomes a teenager, LISTEN!!!! Be interested and involved. If you teach him/her to love and respect other living things from the time your baby is old enough to understand your words, you will be a very happy and successful parent. And, you will have raised a sensitive and open minded child.
Be glad for your new family, its truly a precious gift. Enjoy every moment of your childs life, even the midnight bottles and stinky diapers. And in return, you will experience love like you have never imagined was possible. There is nothing more beautiful than a tiny little guy/girl holding you and loving you.
