Hello friends,
I write a lot of "feel good" songs and would love to play out coffee houses and places like that. I have a few rough recordings using windows sound recorder, perhaps the lowest quality possible. The guitar noise is often really excessive but you can get the gist. Any help or advice or criticism of these songs would be appreciated. You can get there by going acidplanet.com and searching artist name "barooka".
Peace

hey natural mystic/barooka, I checked out your website on acidplanet. My computer's slow so i only had time to listen to one. Ephemerals. Although it's not the best recording quality, as you said, the listener can easily discern his/her way through that. i don't believe it's actually distorting the song. If you call that bad, then you must be fucking amazing in person. i really dig what you're doing, really beautiful. Your lyrics are amazing...i know in this other post you were talking about maybe not being romantic. but if you can write lyrics like that, there's a good chance that you are. Dude-totally go for the coffeehouses, or sit in your downtown and play, kids who are doing their thing will love you and yeah it'll be sweet. I'll listen to more songs whenever i come on again and let you know what i think.
the only criticism i have is that you should get out there more.
