So how do you even find an avatar? This is the first discussion board I've ever been on that even has that as a possible option...

Do you just snag a picture off the net? Where do people find the cool avatars?

Well, I have made my own before, or you can find images online that you like, for example, the one I use on Craftster is a picture of Simon, I don't know how many of you remember Simon (and those chalk people). I just resized it. All of the other forums that I visit allow the use of avatars, excepting one. Some places get crazy and out of hand with avatars and sig banners and such. Anyway, what do we have to do to get our own avatars around here? ;)

Basically what redwitch said. You have to remember, it my look good big, but most avatars will be scaled down to 100x100 pixels, so if it has alot of detail, you will loose it, and it will look like pookie.
