Whats your political party and what do you think of the two party system.
Personally I'm a pretty radical libertarian. As far as the two party system, I HATE it. People in third parties could end the two party system if they would vote for their party instead of voting democrat or republican. Others who dont know about third parties need to realize that theres more than left right, beaurocracy and aristocracy theres freedom and captivity making the political map two-dimensional.

i don't like the two party system either. i guess in the last election people are just desperate enough because they basically know that it's between the two giants so the lesser of evil needs their vote
the whole thing's pretty fucked up though. i can't make up my mind if voting really does make a difference. but that's sort of a different topic.
so anyway, i'm not sure what i'll choose for my political party.

Why choose a party? Do your homework and vote for the people who think the same way you do, or as close as possible. Political parties are only about money anyway.

Well, generally I agree 95% with the green party's platform. So that's what my third party would be.

i agree with toman 100% it doesn't matter what party a candidate is a member of but whether or not they see things the way i do i turn im about to turn 18 and i cant wait until i get to vote because i do believe that every vote does matter and that if everyone would actually vote for the person that they actually believe should be elected there might be a little more change for the better in this here country

I think that about says it as concisely as it's meant to be said.

Toman i agree. You should vote for who you agree with, but speaking simply in generalities which parties do people believe represent what they believe most.

That's just the thing. The party isn't going to "fit" any intelligent, thinking person. The way it works is the other way around, they want to fit you into the party, because they're telling you what to believe. That's why the political situation is the way it is in this country; to most people the politicians are their masters of reallity.

I think that actually we have a one party system and groups at each end. Sometimes when the music stops they wind up in each others chairs. So it doesnt really matter. You see, that gleaming white speck on a pile of chicken shit, well, it too is chicken shit. We have some interesting code names for the "parties" of today. Republican : Mr. I'm Pissed off, mean ass, fribee keeping, hey you damn kids get off my lawn, cop calling son of a bitch. Democrat : Mr. I hate my parents, free lunch, lets sit close to the T.V. then run with scissors, your'e not the boss of me, bring your puppy to work day, activist. If these are in fact called parties why the hell isnt anyone having fun? I too, identify with the green party best. However if there were a real leader to be found, one who respects our planet and the people on it. I dont think I'd care from where or what party he came from. I think tween you 'n me I'll wait for Jesus to come back....then we'll roast marshmellows over Kermit. ;) :)

I too, loathe the two party system! There was no way in hell that I would've voted for either of 'the two goons' last year. I am a libertarian and have been involved with the Libertarian party and libertarian activities for almost thirteen years now, and it seems that the longer that I've been involved, the more radical I seem to get. For those who are interested, I invite you to check out the Libertarian party website www.lp.org . Also check out the Save-A-Patriot fellowship websitewww.save-a-patriot.org , an excellent constitutional educational forum.
