Smile VW Bus

I have a van, but sadly not a VW, just a Dodge caravan.

However it is a pretty cool little vehicle, the back seat becomes a double bed, or you can fold it up and take it out for hauling space. We build a donkey hauling box that slides in and out the back door and I'd like to turn it into my home away from home by camperising it my way.

Which would be having the bed across the back and room for a tiny table and get swivel seats for it.

A Coleman stove, Coleman lamp, my cooler that plugs into the lighter socket and I'm all set. I even have a little 2 shelf cupboard with a door somewhere I could put in it. Wash dishes in a big steel bowl and wash me in a big square galvanized tub.

After I do something about the factory gold paint job. It needs body work in a couple of places, so maybe I will get it painted when I can save more money.

LOL, I need a piggy bank as big as the house to save enough money for all my projects!

At a meeting of my wife's literary group last night I read excerpts from Chelsea Cain's "The Hippie Handbook." After reading the section on hippie vehicles, the one guy siad, "I had a VW van in the 60's named Hope, but I don't know if I was a hippie." We assured him that he was.
