"In Arlington, a public works employee was cited by the local police chief for smoking a pot pipe as he stood next to his town-issued tractor... At bustling Park Street Station, a pair of nonchalant lovers out on the town openly lit up a joint and continued toking even after confronted by off-duty Milton Police Chief... In East Boston, four teens spotted in a "smoke-filled vehicle" unabashedly told a cop they were "just smoking marijuana"... A man caught near a Dorchester playground laughed when police said he faced a $100 fine -- and then taunted the cops with an expletive-laced tirade."

Says a lot about the effects of decriminalization, doesn't it. I voted for lowering the penalty, but it seems like many people are taking it as a license to be jerks about it.

Those are the irresponsible idiots that ruin it for the rest of us.
I like to have a few drinks, but I know better than to get behind the wheel of a car. But alas, there are idiot drunks out there who make alcohol consumption a "dirty" thing to do. Let's face it, America is full of idiots, hell, look who got "elected" twice and looked who voted for him. I'm ashamed to live in this state because of the idiot ratio here. |

Sine I make my living as an addictions counselor, I was bombarded with a lot of material encouraging me to vote against decriminalization. I followed my instint and don't regret my choice. Bozos like this, however, may push the issue to the ballot again.

Legalize it...and I will advertise it
![]() It was a ridiculous thing to begin with.....I saw a documentary once with Bob Marley, the interviewer asked him if he felt like a rebel for smoking, Bob said: rebel? against what? .....good point. evaluate the facts. It was senseless to criminalize it in the first. Tell me what is criminal about ganja? excepting the law. They cannot tax it because we will grow it in our backyard, this is the main reason they will not legalise it (outside of their fear that we will then want to consider other controlled substances for decriminalization). Consider oil for a moment, and renewable resources. You cannot tax the sun, the wind, or the delta. Ganja is a metaphor for the entire problem with man's government. And as Forrest Gump would say, that's all I have to say about that. Peace ![]() |
