So I've been researching the H1N1 vaccine, trying to decide if it is safe for my daughter. As I was researching, I found a lot of information stating that vitamin D is good at preventing and fighting the flu. Anyone else ever heard this?

I've tried the vitamin/supplement deal many times, and still got the flu. The older flu vaccines could give it to you also, but the newer ones only inject you with a piece of a dead virus.
I'm at risk, because I lost most of my right lung to cancer. You can bet your ass that I get my shots, and I haven't had the flu since I started being so "religious" about it. Often, natural cures are better. Often they are not. Use your head. My Dad often said "If you go to the doctor and get a shot you can get over a cold in just seven days. If you don't, it takes a whole week." But ... the flu isn't a cold. Last edited by Gaston; 10-30-2009 at 05:48 PM. |
