Default For the alcoholics out there :)

Ok wannabe bartenders--

I know somebody on this forum has some good drink recipes. I am having a cocktail party on Saturday (my first in a loooong time). I am having gin and tonics, vodka/cranberry juice, Mojitos, Margaritas, Beer, and wines. I am debating on Bloody Marys (never made them) and something with whiskey (maybe whiskey sours). Anybody have any other suggestions? I would love to hear some.

Cheers!!!
Carly

Okay, I have advice on killer bloody marys. I always have a new years day "day after" party and those are my specialty.

My secret? Duffy's Sauce. Tomato juice, a couple dashes Duffy's Sauce, a bit of horseradish, tons of celery salt, and some tabasco. And of course, vodka.

Good garnishes...gotta have celery sticks, garlic stuffed olives, and pickles. Cocktail onions as well as anything spicy pickled.

Awesome bloody mary, coming up!

I used to be a bartender.

I'd suggest adding something like Khalua, or anything good and sweet.

Here is a recipe.

~Flaming Armadillo~

In a shot glass put an ounce of khalua.
Pour a good shot of Barcardi 151 rum on top.
Light the rum.
Enjoy flame, momentarily, then blow out.
Drink and enjoy

Have a great party

Peace

^^^ The Dude is among us.

Alcoholics like gin, straight from the bottle. Gordon's is good. Although it's not bad with tonic, too...

a lil' something I came up with:

lime soda (any will do)

peach syrup (from monin I believe, it is for itallian sodas)

southern comfort

mix together in amounts that seem appropriate to you; I typically would use 16 - 24oz of soda one shot syrup and a whole lot of so. co. cause I like my drinks strong. gently stir ingredients together so as not to kill carbonation and top off with a slice of lime (or however much lime you like)...
very very yummy!
