Sustainable Toys: Eco-Friendly Playtime Choices for New Parents
As a new parent, you want the best for your child, including creating a safe and healthy environment. When I look back on my daughter’s early years, mainly when she was in or younger than elementary school age, I’m reminded of sun-kissed afternoons where we fashioned toys out of pretty much anything we could find outdoors. In our family, that meant palm fronds deftly woven into fans or pretend plates, coconuts and seashells turned into decorative art projects, and even “natural” paint made from colorful soils, flowers, and plants.
