PUT SOME BIODIESEL IN MY BUG?

Thought this might be interesting to all of you, especially with the current fuel “Crisis”:

A while back I read an article in Environmental News Network (online) about a group of women who were traveling across the US in a van that was
powered by biodiesel – basically, their diesel engine was modified to convert used cooking oil into fuel.

Recently, I read from the same source that a research ship stationed in the Channel Islands (LA/Santa Barbara) was beginning a pilot project using the same type of fuel. The National Park Service will also be using biodiesel to generate electricity on two of the Channel Islands.
