Happy Hippie Gives Jeff Bezos a Slow Clap

By Brian

We here at Happy Hippie are very excited by the 10 Billion dollar commitment to fight against climate change by Jeff Bezos. These kind of large commitments yielded properly can fund big innovation that is otherwise unattainable. Bezos and Amazon also announced a pledge to be carbon neutral by 2040. This is a full ten years before the Paris climate agreement deadline. The company also said it will deploy 100,000 electric delivery vans by 2024.

So why the is Happy Hippie giving Jeff Bezos a slow clap?

Because Jeff Bezos is in the position to do more and continue to rack in the profits. He has the ability to shape a global community buying habits and NOW. Bezos and Amazon should begin to phase out all single use plastic products that have a comparable sustainable option. At the very least, Amazon should give priority to vendors and products that are sustainable – and other non-environmentally friendly products should be pushed farther down the retail list.  For example, if you happen to be looking at a single use trash bag that does not biodegrade or compost, than make a big effort to push the buyer to a beter choice – theAmazon Preferred Green Product.  Mr. Besos, contact us over at HappyHippie.com and lets talk strategy to green up the business you all ready have.

After we clean up the way you push products (simple and powerful fix), lets talk about fixing the communities being destroyed by lack of  local stores/retail jobs.   We’ve got ideas.  Comment below if you have ideas on how to fix Amazon’s shopping experience and put our communities back.
