Hawaiian Body Products: Take a Tropical Vacation at Home

Happyhippie.com recently reviewed some scrumptious body products by Ola – Hawaiian Body Products. Hawaiian Body Products is a family run company with roots deep in Hawai’i. Their Ola Bath, Body and Spa Products combine natural and organic ingredients that have been used for thousands of years to detoxify, purify, rejuvenate and replenish the skin.

Having a non-stop slew of gray, overcast days here at the Happyhippie.com homebase, the tropical scented products transcended me to the fragrant volcanic sand beaches of Hawaii with swaying coconut trees. I first tried the Coconut Lemongrass Cane Sugar body scrub in the shower. The fine granuales of sugar are great for exfoliation, and the exotic combination of Coconut Oils, Creamed Coconut, Coconut, Mango Seed Butter, Avocado Fruit Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, and Kukui Nut Oil, moisturized my skin into smooth oblivion. Any winter blues my skin had were quickly extinguished by the all-natural body scrub. I felt like the sugar was gentle enough to do a quick scrub on my face. Although I’m usually sensitive to oils on my face, I had absolutely no problems. My skin had a nice glow afterwards, with a moisturized sheen. The only problem with this scrub, is that is smells so good, that my normally short shower time turned into an extended mini-vacation. Oops.

The next product I reviewed was the Ola Pineapple Lime Body Butter. Besides the insanely divine scent of pineapple and lime, this is an excellent body butter for legs and arms. I put a little on my legs, with a tad more on my knees and elbows, and my typically dry appendages had a nice sheen, and felt moisturized all day. A little goes a long way, and the coverage is smooth and absorbs quickly.

The folks at Hawaiianbodyproducts.com also sent some tiny vials of their scent samples. Many of their products are available in these scents, ranging from Jasmine to Ocean Essence. The Chocolate Coffee scent was delectable, but made me hungry.

Ola Hawai’i’s offers two type of packaging options. There is the “everyday”simple packaging with beautiful and elegant labels, or the hand woven palm leaf and coconut wood gift or “makana” packaging. The coconut shell “makana” packaging is pictured to the left. If you are giving a gift, or just like having beautiful bath products to use, this is an absolutely beautiful packaged product line, made from all-natural materials right on the Island of Hawaii.

Ola Hawai’i’ only uses ingredients that can be found in Hawai’i. They make our own hydrosols (“soul” of the plant) infusing locally grown and wild crafted botanicals in an ancient copper distilling processes.

The company also buys from and supports local farmers using all natural and organic ingredients whenever possible. Everything they make is handcrafted with reverence and respect.

All of the products are not only beautiful, but they do eminate a fresh, organic quality.

Check out Hawaiian Body Products, and take your own mini-tropical vacation at your home.
