Natural Elements Online – Natural Products Made with Aloha

I just got back from an awesome trip to Hawaii. Actually, I confess – I did not. However, I smell like I did! Happyhippie.com had the honor of reviewing some beautiful products from Natural Elements Online. All of the products that they offer are handcrafted in Hawaii and made with only the finest natural ingredients.

Kukui Moisturizing Lotion – (white bottle on far right) This fragrance free, super rich moisturizer is perfect for dry winter legs and arms. Kukui nut oil is also quite commonly used as a remedy to soothe symptoms of eczema and psoriasis. Derived from the candlenut tree, Kukui oil has been used for over thousands of years by Polynesians as a moisturizer, but recent scientific studies have finally verified their effectiveness. Kukui oil contains essential fatty acids (linoleic and linolenic acids) that are vital to healthy skin metabolism, provides light moisture and gently lift debris from delicate, dry skin. The precious oil has also been reported to contain vitamins A, E and F that are good for skin health and for healing wounds. For these reasons, it is perhaps why all Polynesians use this nut oil frequently for massaging aches and pain of the body. Trust me, they were on to something…this lotion is richly divine.

Coconut Soap – This all-natural coconut soap caused some minor bathroom bickering. The reason? My husband really liked it and was using it too quickly. Although moisturizing, it’s a clean rinsing soap and does not have an overpowering scent. This is a nice soap for both women and men, as women will appreciate the moisturizing clean feel, and men will like the ‘beachy’ smell that’s not ‘girly’.

Coconut Body Wash – This lotion has a stronger coconut smell than the soap, but not artificial smelling. In fact, it smells like freshly cracked-opened coconut. This is a scandalous body wash, as it’s soft, and the scent is intoxicating. We are very water conscious at this household, but this bodywash could make you go back for seconds. Pace yourself.

Coconut Body Lotion – Light coconut scented lotion that is also not overpowering, nor artificial smelling. All natural coconut and flower extracts give this hand and body lotion a light refreshing scent. The lotion is moisturizing, but not heavy nor greasy.

Coconut & Macadamia Nut Body and Bath Oil – if you’re looking for a natural, fragrant oil that sooths and leaves your skin looking smooth and silky, the Coconut/Macadamia Nut Body and Bath Oil just may be the ticket. I put a little on my legs and arms right after I showered, and even by the day’s end, I still felt moisturized. We’ve had a very dry fall season so far, so this body oil is a treat to moisture starved skin. This is a pure oil product though, so if your room is below 68 degrees, it will become more like a solid. If this happens, simply make sure the top is closed, and then float in a little warm water in your sink to reliquify it.

The entire coconut collection is a great treat for those who miss the smell of the beach during the summer, or who are reminiscing about a past trip to Hawaii.

The Plumeria lotion smells a smidge stronger than the soap, but is still not overpowering by any means. The faint ginger smell is enticing, and the moisturizer is great as an all-over body lotion.

Tropical Lip Balm Sticks

Available in four different scents/flavors (yes, these are tasty, too!), these lip balms are made with macadamia nut oil, olive oil, palm oil, beeswax and natural flavors. Why would anyone use crusty clumpy ol’ Chapstick after they’ve used this! It glides on smoothly, never clumpy and smells like a tropical party under your nose. This would be a huge hit as stocking stuffers this holiday, and remember these are handcrafted in Hawaii, so you’re supporting a cottage industry. Balm scents/flavors include: Hawaiian Sunrise Lip Balm Stick, Island Passion Lip Balm Stick, Kauai Kiss Lip Balm Stick, and Pineapple Paradise Lip Balm Stick. My personal favorite – the orange Sunrise Lip Balm.
