These kind of large commitments yielded properly can fund big innovation that is otherwise unattainable. Bezos and Amazon also announced a pledge to be carbon neutral by 2040. This is a full ten years before the Paris climate agreement deadline. The company also said it will deploy 100,000 electric delivery vans by 2024.
